Tribal Wellness Mission
Tribal Wellness Mission
Our mission is to help people reclaim their health by returning to what works: real nourishment, aligned lifestyle habits, and time-tested natural therapies—integrated with modern clinical reasoning. At Tribal Wellness, we look for root causes, educate you on what your body is asking for, and build a plan you can actually follow.
Care may include botanical and nutritional support, lifestyle optimization, physical modalities, and other holistic therapies when appropriate—always tailored to the individual. We’re here for mind, body, and spirit, with a focus on strength, clarity, and long-term resilience.
Beyond the clinic, Tribal exists to build a community grounded in service, integrity, and responsibility. As we grow, we’re committed to giving back—supporting people who need help getting back on their feet, and investing in solutions that reduce harm and build a healthier future.
This is a tribe built on health, justice, and peace—through discipline, compassion, and action.

FAQ
FAQ
What is naturopathic / holistic / functional medicine?
- Naturopathic medicine focuses on optimizing well-being and preventing illness through natural approaches. Naturopathic doctors (NDs) are trained healthcare professionals who leverage the body's inherent healing power. They employ a therapeutic order, prioritizing less invasive therapies first and are guided by the core naturopathic principles, which include: Identify and Address the Root Cause, The Healing Power of Nature, Treat the Whole Person, Doctor as Teacher and Prevention.
ND’s are trained in multiple modalities, some of which include; Botanical Medicine, Diet and Nutrition, Lifestyle Modifications (Stress, Sleep, Exercise, etc..), Physical Modalities, Functional Lab Testing, and more. By focusing on these principles and employing this diverse toolbox, naturopathic medicine works to address the root causes of illness, not just silence symptoms, promoting long-term health and well-being.
Can I use my flexible spending account (FSA) or health savings account (HSA) for your services?
- In most cases, your care here will be covered through a FSA or a HSA. However, we recommend you contact your account coordinator to ensure that your plan will cover your expenses.
Do You Accept Insurance?
- While current regulations in Michigan prevent naturopathic doctors from directly accepting insurance, some insurance plans may offer out-of-network benefits for naturopathic services. It's recommended that you check with your individual insurance provider to determine if they offer such coverage and what the reimbursement process might be.
What are the benefits of seeing a Naturopathic/ holistic Doctor??
- Naturopathic medicine focuses on addressing the root cause of health concerns, promoting preventative care, and empowering individuals to take an active role in their health journey. I offer a personalized approach that considers your individual needs and preferences.
Are you Licensed in Michigan?
- My naturopathic doctor credential is licensed/registered in Minnesota. Michigan does not currently have a state licensure pathway for naturopathic doctors, so my work with Michigan clients is offered as wellness consulting—focused on education, nutrition + lifestyle guidance, and personalized wellness planning. We’re also actively supporting efforts to establish ND licensure in Michigan (including current legislation), and if you’d like to help, consider contacting your state representatives to voice support.
What training do naturopathic doctors (NDs) have?
- NDs graduate from 4-year, doctoral-level naturopathic medical programs accredited by CNME (the U.S. Department of Education–recognized accreditor). Training includes intensive biomedical and clinical sciences—anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, microbiology, immunology, neuroscience, pharmacology, and more—followed by at least the final two years in supervised clinical internship settings. Programs include 3,000+ classroom hours and 1,200+ hours of clinical training, and graduation from a CNME-accredited program qualifies graduates to sit for the NPLEX licensing exams.
